Caroline Rees

The 4th artist on my favourites list from the Smiths Row exhibition is the wonderful papercut and glass artist Caroline Rees who works from her studio near the beach on the Gower Peninsula.
She creates wonderfully detailed papercuts inspired I assume by her beautiful surroundings. She also creates equally lovely window and door films which I am very tempted to buy for our bathroom window. They are so much more interesting that any of the others films I've seen.

Lorna Syson

3. Third on my favourites list from the Smiths Row exhibition is Lorna Syson. According to her website she takes inspiration from the British outdoors. Drawing on natural influences like the great tits nesting outside her bedroom window, her fondest childhood memories picking berries with her father and the summer days playing in the woods and countryside.
I really loved the colourways used in her Songbirds designs and the Lands End and Flock geometric prints are very on trend for this year.

Liam Treanor

2. The second on my list of favourites from the Smiths Row exhibition is Liam Treanor. He creates beautiful hand produced furniture. Each product is designed by Liam and produced in-house at their London based workshops.
I particularly love the Homemaker Bookcase with it's nod to mid-century styling. It's even available in two beautifully cheerful colours, pale blue or primrose yellow.

Polly Finch

1. First on the list of my favourites from the smiths row exhibition is the wonderful papercut artist Polly Finch. Her delicate hand cut art is so intricate and lovely and usually carrys a sweet message. I always find papercuts so amazing as I could never imagine having enough patience to cut something so detailed.

Artists & Designers at Smiths Row

I took a visit to my local art gallery recently, Smiths Row in Bury St Edmunds. I say recently it was a few weeks back but I don't get there as often as I would like as art galleries and energetic toddlers don't quite mix!

I was amazed at the fantastic selection of artists & designers they had on show.  In fact I'm constantly amazed at the great exhibitions this small local gallery puts on and feel very lucky it's in the town I live in.

Anyway enough of my rambling, over the next few days I will be posting a selection of my favourites.

A selection of my Personalised Childrens Name Prints on Etsy

Sorry I have been so slack at posting lately. Working part-time, looking after an eighteen month toddler and trying to create a business from home is proving quite time consuming.

Anyway just wanted to let you have a peek at my Etsy shop with a selection of my personalised children's name prints
